I used this homemade formula with my baby. It was devastating for me when I couldn't meet 100% of her needs with breastmilk and donor milk ... even after trying all the things and working with three lactation consultants. I used some commercial formula from the Netherlands, but also made my own.
Hmm… Suggests raw milk. Not many city moms, particularly inner city moms, have access to raw milk, and if so, it is likely to be expensive and would require overcoming decades of fear (real or imagined, I don’t know) of non pasteurized milk products.
As a young hippie type in the 70's I weaned my babies on goat milk. The composition is closer to human milk. ( sugar/protein ratio). This one also looks fine. We are so enslaved by the idea that if it comes in a package by a major industry it has to be better. Take a look around, do we look healthier?
but more seriously, medical-industrial establishment groupies, pediatricians, etc will scream to high heaven about people feeding their babies anything but FDA approved half toxic "formula." just like many veterinarians and their groupies will screech about how feeding pets homemade food will deprive them of trace minerals/nutrients and their FDA recommended daily allowance of sawdust.
neither group cares to actually examine the recipes and verify the nutritional content, it's all about "how DARE you try that yourself."
Sadly, the Weston A. Price foundation and its backers seem to be dogmatic virus- and contagion-deniers. It's the dogmatism I object to most; it's great that they express their views but not that they shun the possibility that they're incorrect.
I've already expressed my misgivings about anarchy to you so I won't labor the point—except to say that I don't want my anarchy curtailed for the sake of anyone else's anarchy 😜.
They’re just desperate to have everyone infantilized and completely dependent on the state.
This, as they say, is not sustainable.

Ha ha ha ha ha . Sucking on the devils tit for real
If it’s not safe to make your own, then someone needs to explain how I survived infancy. Lol Bill with breasts is cringy.

Thank you for writing this, shared on FB. Seems utter BS to me that homemade formula has to be unsafe.
I am a big fan of Sally Fallon, but good luck getting hold of raw milk.

Omg, now I need brain bleach, bad! 😳😵😵😵😵
So according to the article, the homemade versions "do not meet your baby’s nutritional needs." But going hungry does?
Love that you linked to the WAPF recipe 👍👍
"pregnant birthing person" ?
Mother to be?
