Saturday was an amazing day.
I drove most of Skyline Drive from north to south, took a marvelous hike, and saw copious deer and the biggest black bear I’ve ever encountered lumbering across the road.
Unfortunately I wasn’t fast enough with my camera to snap the black bear. Here are many other pictures of my day trip.
Most were taken on Mary’s Rock trail, a 3.7 mile round-trip hike with a 1200 foot ascent. I took the selfies atop Mary’s Rock, where I spent 1/2 hour eating snacks and snapping other pics.
I found my introverted self wishing the trail wasn’t so “people-y” so that I could have more silence and immersion into nature, but this is a very popular hike, so pure solitude was elusive.
I can still feel the lovely coolness and moisture of the clouds speeding by.
Overall, it was a magnificent day.
The east coast of the US isn’t as marvelously verdant as New Zealand, but it’s a decent second. I’m doing my best to “bloom where planted.”
On a Telegram channel, someone recently shared a funny piece of writing related to yesterday’s test of the emergency broadcast alert system. I’m not sure who the author is, but I choose to share portions of it here for its simple wisdom, even if one does not agree with the concrete specifics.
Should a frequency be sent, turning your phones off or throwing them in a Faraday bag will not do anything to help... or hurt you.
Think about it logically. Your phone is constantly receiving signals from towers and does not emit any frequency that is different than what is emitted from the devices on the towers.
They have been and do emit harmful frequencies currently. It makes no sense to think that they would broadcast ahead of time a specific time/day that they plan on "activating" some new frequency that will potentially trigger the crap in people's bodies from the jabs. They are already doing it…
I believe this is nothing more than clickbait fearporn…
The FEAR people have is more potent than any signal sent from a tower as well.
This said, should you feel more comfortable walking away from your home/phones and going out into nature to ground and enjoy the sun, do it!
We should all be spending time doing this every day regardless, so perfect excuse to get outside and make it happen. You'll still, unfortunately, be subject to the constant frequencies the towers around us are sending all day every day.
Beautiful place, magical I'm sure.
will never forget traveling Blue Ridge Parkway in 🍂🍁fall color🍁🍂 & misty fog, it is a magnificent place !
