I used to drive through the WV countryside along Route 79 between Pittsburgh and the turn off to head to Virginia Tech, where I went for undergraduate degree. The trips through during the spring and fall were always beautiful- absolutely stunning trees and colors, wonderful.
Here in Portland OR we are past the cherry blossoms and tulips, and into the lilacs now. The unseasonally cold weather this spring has kept flowers fresh longer than usual in my recent memory, nice but curious. I know the midwest has been 'colded' out of typical plantings of crops...I am becoming more questioning of the weather in general, esp near the coasts such as we are. I am within 10 miles of an airport, and there are more jet takeoffs than last year.
So I play my trombone and wait for a few players to happen by. best
Started my second compost heap of the season already added very interesting ingredients with more diverse offerings in store. My garden soil has to have one of the highest humus counts and most diverse healthy elements than anyone else's on the planet.
Speaking of spring, has anyone here read the book “Silent Spring”? It made quite the impression on me but some of the feedback I’ve heard is that it’s all bullocks.
paul alexander sent out this 2021 canadian study showing 90 percent natural immunity and resistance to covid based on 2020 seroprevalence data. this beats the 83-84 percent in the april 2020 stockholm study, the aircraft carrier and diamond princess cruise ship data:

WE used to live in Dublin Ohio. Springtime was always amazing as you watched trees and plants wake up in front of your eyes from their winter slumber.
