Many of us subscribe to a variety of Substacks. No need to crank out content when there is no inspiration. Or they can be short. Or about strawberries. Just fine.

ThatтАЩs insane. IтАЩm creeping up to 80. Substack has relaxed pretty much all my social media. Both FB and IG are basically collecting spider webs. Twitter gets more play but the Stacks are still better content and community.

I deleted my Facebook, and only check in on Twitter every few days because it's nothing but outrage porn.

I often don't read every post. But yes, I skim a lot.

Several of the writers to whose substacks I subscribe have recently apologized for not posting more frequently, but I wish they wouldn't apologize. I suspect they feel they must be prolix to give subscribers "value for money," but I'd rather have quality and not quantity. I'm very pleased with the quality of writing of all of my subscribed writers. I wish they'd not feel the need to publish frequently. There is SO much excellent writing on substack that I can't keep up with it all, and I imagine I'm not alone. So relax, my lovely "content creators". You're doing a fabulous job, and if you take plenty of time off to navel gaze or travel or whatever, that's fantastic.

Completely agree, Dr. Herr. Wait a minute, Herr Dr. and Dr. Herr both work. Guess I'm slow on the uptake. In any case, supporting the author, not the output.
